Today's TV races

Already odds-on to regain the jockeys' championship after an industrious start to the season, Ryan Moore can maintain his hot form by bringing High Jinx (4.00) home at Newmarket. High Jinx, strongly supported before becoming a late withdrawal for a recent contest at Newmarket's other course, looks to have strong claims as he moves back up to a mile and a half after a promising reappearance over a mile and a quarter at Doncaster, where he was badly outpaced at the top of the straight before staying on again close home.

Lightly raced, there remains a strong suspicion that we haven't yet seen the best of High Jinx.

Doncaster 2.05 An eyecatcher first time out in the Wood Ditton, Mawasem was strongly supported before winning his maiden at Kempton on his only subsequent start. Connections indicated that they thought a bit about the colt and he may well possess the further improvement required to defy this mark.

Newmarket 2.20 Question marks hover over those shortest in the betting and an upset could be in the cards with Apostle. He struggled from a wide draw at Haydock last time and is capable of better.

Chester 2.35 Kyllachy Star remains realistically treated, despite two good runs this season, and knows this track well.

Newmarket 2.55 With another victory required if Pearl Ice is to go up sufficiently in the weights in order to make the cut for the Wokingham at Royal Ascot, David Barron brings his sprinter out again. A repeat of his latest Ripon win should be good enough.

Chester 3.10 Having failed to sparkle when tried over hurdles in the winter, War Poet looked far happier back on the Flat when winning a hot event on his return at Doncaster.

Newmarket 3.30 With a return spin at Kempton under his belt, Camberley Two could be ready to resume winning ways. He worked his way nicely up the ladder last year.

Doncaster 3.45 Having come down the weights after more than a year without a win, Fathsta hinted strongly at a return to form when fourth at Goodwood last month and this seven-furlong trip suits better.
