With three winners and three placed horses from his last 11 runners, Andy Turnell is clearly a trainer in form. At Lingfield today he should go close with Kew Jumper (4.10), who is handicapped to win a race of this nature. The nine-year-old ran badly last time, when the stable was out of form, but had shaped well behind Pedros Brief at Hereford on his comeback run.
A good run by Turnell's Spanish Cruise in the Lingfield NH Flat race will be a pointer to stable newcomer Seefin Mountain (5.30) at Wincanton. The latter, who has a Flat pedigree, is said to be some way in front of Spanish Cruise in their work at home.
Minster Abbi (4.20) looks to have a good chance at Carlisle on the strength of her fine effort in a better race at Leicester last time. But it is interesting to see support for Ferdy Murphy's Supreme Builder this morning. He has always been well regarded and could be worth a saver on this, his handicap debut.
