Talking Horses

Ed McMahon, with five winners and two placed horses from 14 runners in the last fortnight, is a trainer in excellent form. He provides the best bet of the day with Bahamian Ballet (7.25) at Bath. Unlucky when second to Misaro last time, this six-year-old is weighted to turn tables on the winner in a race where he looks to have plenty in his favour.

At Leicester, Gross Prophet (5.30) looks set for an overdue return to the winner's enclosure. He has to repeat his latest all-weather form back on turf, but is certainly weighted with a big chance. He looks well drawn, his trainer Tom Dascombe knows the time of day, and Ross Atkinson looks a promising apprentice jockey.

Rum Jungle (3.15) doesn't look overburdened on his handicap debut at Leicester. Henry Candy's gelding has done all his racing over a mile so far and should be suited by this drop in distance to seven furlongs.
