Despite the letter P cropping up regularly in his recent form figures, Fleetwood Forest (2.10) has been backed to make a winning debut over fences at Huntingdon today. Clearly, connections believe the wind operation he has undergone since his last run has done the trick. Alan King's gelding certainly has the ability to win off this sort of handicap mark. He won over hurdles here last season following a lengthy absence and he must be jumping fences well at home for King to go straight into a handicap with him on his return.
Cathedral Rock (2.40) may have won in unusual circumstances at Fakenham last time, but Nick Gifford's novice has been let off lightly by the handicapper for that wide-margin win. This morning's news from Lambourn suggests Nicky Henderson can win the Huntingdon bumper with Whizz Back (4.40) and at Taunton there is a lot of confidence behind the stable's German import Stellino (2.50).
