Talking Horses

A mile and a half handicap for amateur riders would not normally be the first port of call on another busy day's racing, but I think we should make an exception at Chepstow tonight with Mad Professor (6.20). He is trained by Tim Vaughan who has been firing in jumps winners all over the place. Vaughan has also scored with his only Flat runner so far, and that was at Chepstow, so Mad Professor should be tuned up for this. He has won over hurdles for the up and coming Vaughan since running moderately on the Flat when last seen in 2006.

Mister Green (4.10) has strong claims on form in the nursery at Wolverhampton. A Polytrack winner at Great leighs, he was trying to give 8lb to a smart filly when narrowly beaten by Rosabee at Leicester last week.

The Dial House could be in demand for the nursery at Newmarket tonight, as he looked unlucky last time, but Fastnet Storm (6.40) will be hard to beat. The form of his Beverley win has been boosted and Tom Tate's colt is related to several decent winners.

6.30pm An 8-1 winner for Talking Horses

Mad Professor wins by three lengths at Chepstow. Hope you were on it, Tempo4!
