Wednesday's best bets, by Tony Paley
Angelito (4.00) left a rare poor effort when sixth at Redcar firmly behind at Windsor last time, finishing well after a sluggish start to take second. Though up 2lb for that effort at Catterick today, a quicker start could negate that rise and ensure he gets back to winning ways.
Sandown's evening meeting is the most interesting of the day and Pearl Spectre (6.55), who caught the eye in no uncertain terms in a maiden event at Newbury six weeks ago, should land short odds.
