Mayadeen (2.30), who has staged a return to form on the Flat since joining the Richard Fahey stable, could be very well handicapped on his return to hurdling at Newcastle today. The six-year-old has a history of breathing problems, but he has been finishing his races off well recently, winning at Kempton and then finishing second at Catterick. The booking of Denis O'Regan is encouraging and Mayadeen gets weight from some very ordinary rivals in this contest.
Tony McCoy's link-up with the Nicky Henderson stable is sure to provide its share of winners this season, and You And I (3.20) looks one for the pairing at Stratford. McCoy deserts the Jonjo O'Neill runner, Thatrical Moment, in favour of this Irish point-to-point winner.
