Talented young Liverpool artist creates city's scousest window at Albert Dock

The Nest on the Albert Dock has revealed it’s brand new window designs - and they could be the scousest ones ever.

To celebrate the dock’s first food and drink festival, Feast, the art and gift shop recruited Liverpool -based signwriter Harry Mytton to create a stand-out window design.

The windows feature a colourful ‘Scouse Thesaurus’ with some classic scouse sayings, including ‘sound’, ‘divvy’, ‘jarg’, ‘boss’ and even ‘the Asda’.

The colourful designs were revealed on Twitter in a post that read: “Anaaaand here they are! Our finished Scouse windows have been cleaned and buffed to make their sparkling debut. All designed and painted by Harry Mytton.”

Katherine Caldwell, owner of The Nest, said: ”The idea for the Scouse windows came about after a chat with Harry about the food and drink festival, and the creative content that we had planned for the weekend.

“Straight away, Harry suggested painting the 'Scouse window' and I was absolutely delighted.

“I knew how talented Harry was after working with him before, so I knew it would look amazing.

“It's what we're about-championing local talent, so what better way to celebrate that.”
