Nine-year-old Aimee Jardine has successfully auditioned for a coveted place on the Scottish National Team performing a Lyrical Solo at the Dance World Cup, in Rome in June.

Aimee, from Uphall, is currently training for the event with her dance teachers – Lucy Walker and Steff Velasco at Velasco Walker School of Dance in Edinburgh and will be joining a total of 12 pupils from the school on this trip of a lifetime.

Aimee said: “I am so excited and proud to have been chosen to dance as a soloist at The Dance World Cup and cannot wait to visit Rome with my dance friends and family, dance on stage and represent my country – I can’t quite believe it.”

Halls of Scotland have very kindly agreed to sponsor the Scotland Team Tracksuits for Aimee and the other students attending from Velasco Walker School of Dance.

They are very excited to support the girls heading to Rome as part of the Scotland National team.

Aimee added: “A special thank-you must go to the dance teachers at Velasco Walker for their support, encouragement inspiration without their hard work and dedication none of this would have been possible.”
