Talented Dublin 13-year-old set to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this weekend

A talented Dublin teen is set to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Poland.

Though just 13 years old, Anna Kearney is a seasoned performer who has performed on Broadway before.

The schoolgirl from Foxrock impressed judges on TG4's Junior Eurovision Éire 2019 with a stunning rendition of Johnny Logan’s “Why Me”.

Young Anna played the lead role of Annie at the National Concert Hall in 2017, and has won numerous Feis competitions, and even danced for the Pope.

Talent runs in the family as Anna's mum Eileen was part of the iconic dance troupe that introduced the world to Riverdance during the Eurovision contest in 1994.

Anna will be singing 'Banshee', a song about overcoming fears which she wrote with Niall Mooney, Fiachna Ó Braonáin and Anna Banks and composed by Cyprian Cassar, Jonas Gladnikoff and Daniel Caruana.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Gliwice Arena, Poland, this Sunday.
