Takitaki spent a year working in construction before coming back to football

Sione Takitaki, the Browns No. 80 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft does not exactly bring the strongest of resumes to the table as he enters the NFL.

According to ESPN, Takitaki was suspended four times while at BYU. He even sat out during the 2016 season after he was dismissed from the school’s football program.

During that year he decided to find a job, working in construction for a year.

Takitaki later returned to the BYU football program in 2017 and was named team captain in 2018.

Now, Takitaki looks to add depth to a Browns teams that look constructed to compete for a Super Bowl.

The new Browns linebacker “turned his life around” and will now play for a football team that has turned their franchise around.

On the surface, it sounds like Takitaki will have a place and a voice on this football team. Only time will tell.
