Thai lifestyle photographer, Khun Tommy takes on the All-in-one Shot Challenge with his trusted Sony RX100V
To capture three emotions in one, single shot ̶ that was the challenge.
Passion, determination, and desperation.
It was no easy feat but Thai lifestyle photographer Khun Tommy stepped up to the challenge. Accompanying him in this quest is his trusted camera of choice. “There is no better camera for this task than the Sony RX100V,” he says.
Ever since it was launched 2012, the RX100 series stays true to its concept of compact body and high-quality image. The latest addition to the line is the RX100V, the premium 1.0-type sensor compact camera with superior autofocus performance and high-resolution 4K movie.
And so, with his Sony camera in tow, Tommy takes us on a 24-hour journey north of Thailand to Chiang Mai for that all-in-one shot.
Coffee and Photography as Art Forms
A self-confessed coffee lover, Tommy likens coffee with his photography, both an art form, and both allowing him to connect with people without the need for words.
Everywhere he looked, he saw places, people and things just waiting to be photographed.

Faith in All Things
The day is almost done and still he hasn’t found his winning shot. But Tommy isn’t losing faith. There is art in everything, he believes. You just have to look closely.
His quest to showcase Thailand’s art and culture in one shot takes him to a muay thai gym, where fighters are getting ready. In Thailand, Muay Thai is more than just a combat sport. For many, it is a way of life. With the RX100V in hand, Tommy is able to shoot quick movements thanks to the camera’s high-speed autofocus.
Here, he finally takes his winning shot:

Two fighters preparing for the fight, one in the foreground in deep meditation, his head resting on the bag; the other at the background, taking a break in between fights. They could be enemies inside the ring but right now, at that moment, they are two individuals holding on to their dreams.
Passion. Determination. Desperation.
Three stories, one image, shot by one amazing camera.
