‘Taking credit for cows existing’: Trump says ranchers are happy after he ‘saved’ beef, admits he is very proud

President Donald Trump likes to take credit for everything except the January 6 Capitol riots. From ending eight wars to putting a complete stop to corruption, there is nothing Trump and his administration haven’t achieved in the past few months. He is now claiming to have saved another thing- beef. Not the kind he has with the Democrats, but the one thousands of Americans consume.

After Trump’s notorious tariffs negatively impacted the soybean farmers, it is now time for the beef ranchers. His miscalculated judgments about how the market works have put several cattle farmers in a predicament.

Due to the increased tariffs imposed by Trump on beef, countries that import it from America are now being forced to pay higher amounts for purchasing it. China (one of the largest American beef importers), with whom Trump has been involved in a trade war since assuming office for a second term this year, has retaliated by reducing the beef imports from America and purchasing more from other countries, such as Australia. The result? Cattle farmers are incurring losses and are being forced to increase prices, leading to an unstable beef economy with fluctuating prices in America.

What does Trump have to say about all of this? Honestly, nothing fruitful. He is under the impression that his tariffs are the only good thing to have happened to cattle ranchers in the past couple of years. At least that is what he is saying in a recent press interaction at the White House. In clips circulating on social media platforms, including X, President Trump can be seen saying, “The ranchers are so happy for what I’ve done. I saved them. I don’t think you’d have any beef in this country if I didn’t do that. So we’re very proud of that, while noting that he was working on getting beef prices down.

Trump’s boastful comments definitely did not go unnoticed by his devoted critics. Honestly, they do a tough job; the man does not stop providing content. There is at least one obnoxious comment every 15 minutes that is floating around somewhere on the internet. One person on X poked fun at Trump’s beef comments and said:

“He’s out here taking credit for cows existing.”

Another person reacted similarly and remarked:

“A big strong cow came up to me, he was crying, he said sir, thank you so much sir, please eat me.”

What do you think will be the next step the dictator in chief takes that will have everyone worked up? Your guess is as good as mine.
