A man has admitted killing an 'amazing fiancé and dad’ following a stabbing in Salford.
Bernard Pinkney, 33, is facing jail after admitting the manslaughter of Kevin Molyneux on the day of a proposed murder trial.
After his barrister asked that he enter his plea again, Pinkney replied 'not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter'.
He will be sentenced on Tuesday morning.
Prosecutors said that the plea was acceptable to the Crown.

Known to friends as ‘Molly', Mr Molyneux, 28, had become a father only a few months prior to his death.
Police raced to Winster Avenue, Lower Kersal, at about 4.10am on Saturday, June 2, after receiving reports that a man had been stabbed.
They found that 28-year-old Kevin Molyneux from Lower Broughton had been injured. He was rushed to hospital but died shortly after.

In a tribute released through police, his fiancée described him as an ‘amazing fiancé, dad and step dad’ and revealed the couple were due to tie the knot.
His family added: “He was the only son of both parents and their lives will never be the same.”
The day after his death, flowers and cards were left at the scene paying tribute.

Friends also posted heartfelt messages on social media sites.
Dawn Martin wrote on Facebook: “I’ve known Molly from being a baby and grown up with my son who were best friends, he was always polite and respectful to me. No one deserves to die the way he did. God bless you Molly we loved you, RIP gone too soon.”
Julie Driver wrote: “Most of all thinking of his mum and dad and the rest of the family r.i.p Molly taken too soon.”
Police remained at the scene for most of the following day.
Officers sealed a large part of the of the residential cul-de-sac, where Winster Avenue meets Stanton Avenue, and erected a tent while forensic work was carried out at the scene.

Many residents on the street only learned what had happened when they awoke to see the area taped off.
Pinkney, of Mount Pleasant, Prestwich, was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing.
