Arsenal 'hijack' Tomiyasu transfer
Tottenham pursuit of Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has taken another turn as north London rivals Arsenal have registered their interest, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia.
Spurs have been in advanced talks with the Japanese international in recent weeks and football.london understands that the versatile defender would prefer to join Nuno Espirito Santo's side over the Gunners.
The 22-year-old can play as a centre-back and also a right-back, two positions that both sides are reportedly chasing this summer.

Alderweireld reveals future plans
Spurs' veteran defender Toby Alderweireld has revealed that he plans to return to his native Belgium once his contract expires in 2023.
"I’ve always said—whether that’s [building house in Kapellen] smart or stupid, I don’t know—that I’ll return for my children," Alderweireld told Sport/Voetbalmagazine via Sport Witness.
"Then my daughter will be five [in 2023]. I would like her to start first grade. That’s where you start to get boyfriends and girlfriends, the regulars.
"I think it is important that we give her and her brother a normal childhood in Belgium."

Spurs express Danny Ings interest
Spurs new director of football Fabio Paratici has reportedly made a decision to pursue Southampton frontman Danny Ings, according to The Athletic.
The veteran striker has just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the Saints and he recently turned down a new contract with the club, it is believed.
In his time at St Mary's the 28-year-old Ings has netted 46 goals in 100 matches across all competitions.
