Takeaway worker throws scissors at customer after they complain about 20 minute wait

A furious row at a fast food takeaway over a 20 minute wait by a customer led to a worker throwing a pair of scissors at him.

The dispute took place at a Chipotle Mexican food restaurant in Baltimore where a Facebook post by the customer Anthony Evans, 56, has now gone viral on social media.

He says on the social media post how he was forced to wait for 20 minutes and he asked twice about what was the reason for the delay.

It was then that a female worker started shouting at him, it is alleged.

"This is going right on Facebook ... this is crazy" Mr Evans can be heard saying in the video.

On the video, the woman said her name was Nicole and that she was the manager at the Mount Vernon Chipotle takeaway, when the customer asked other staff what she was called.

Then she could be heard angrily shouting: “You can call whoever you want to b**ch” before throwing the scissors.

On Mr Evans’ social media post he said that he then called the police.

Officers went to the restaurant, the police reportedly confirmed, over an incident of aggravated assault on August 10.

It is also reported that police have spoken to the district manager of Chipotle over the incident.

"Normally, it's like, let me get my food and leave, but this time I just stood my ground. I was like, no," Evans told Fox 45 Baltimore.

The police report said that Mr Evans had been hit on the shoulder.

"Most of the inner city restaurants, if you go in there and you have a problem with your order, it's better just to go ahead and humbly accept it unless something serious because they don't want to hear it," said Evans.

"It seems like they're more belligerent, more animosity, more negativity, less amenable and less toward customer service."

He added that he puts the woman's response down to the stresses and strains of living in the city.
