These shocking images show the mouse droppings inspectors discovered in the kitchen of an Oldham takeaway which has now been fined.
Dessert 2 You, on Chadderton Way, had to close its doors while a mouse infestation was cleared out - as droppings were found alongside utensils in drawers, as well as on shelves, floors and walls.
The takeaway is back trading, but has now been slapped with a fine worth thousands of pounds by Tameside Magistrates' Court.

Evidence of mouse droppings, dirty walls and hand wash basin and a defective floor were all found by Oldham Council inspectors during a visit of Dessert 2 You on September 2 last year.
Environmental health officers found accumulations of mouse droppings on the floor, on walls close to the floor, under the equipment sink, on shelves and in equipment drawers.
Inspectors also found that the floor and lower walls were dirty and not kept clean, the wash basin was dirty and there were no hygienic drying facilities, and the flooring was defective and needed repairing.
Following the inspection, the business agreed to voluntarily close due to the mouse infestation and poor standards.
It was revisited, and once improvements had been made, the takeaway was given permission to reopen.
The business applied for a re-rating inspection and after a visit on November 18, 2020, it was awarded a food hygiene rating of three - meaning 'satisfactory'.
Evidence uncovered by the inspectors was brought to Tameside Magistrates Court last month.
Fresh Waffle Ltd and the company's director, Abdal Hussain, were both found in breach of food safety laws following the inspection at Dessert 2 You last September.
On October 21, Hussain pleaded guilty to three charges against him and three on behalf of the company under the Food Safety and Hygiene (England) Regulations 2013.
The company was fined £2,000, plus ordered to pay costs of £1,000 and a victim surcharge of £190.
Meanwhile, Hussain was also fined £1,000 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £100.
Coun Amanda Chadderton, deputy leader and cabinet member for neighbourhood services at Oldham Council, said: “Food hygiene laws must be taken very seriously and we, as a council, are doing everything we can to ensure every business in our borough complies with these regulations having already prosecuted a number of business that fail to do this.
“The majority of businesses across Oldham have a food hygiene rating of three or above with only a small percentage of business owners failing to meet the correct standards.”
