A Lanarkshire takeaway is milking England's failure to win Euro 2020 – by giving away half price pizzas today.
The Original Mr Chef stores in Hamilton and Uddingston want to celebrate with local football fans after the month-long tournament reached a conclusion last night.
They join many Scots jubilant at the demise of their southern neighbours – with the European trophy now goiing to Rome, instead of "coming home".
The Three Lions were beaten 3-2 on penalties by Italy after the 1-1 stalemate was still undecided after extra time.
The popular curry house has been enjoying the competition throughout the summer, and has now decided to toast the Italians with their own pizzas which can be bought for half the normal price.
Mr Chef's deal is for any pizza, any size and any time today, with the offer only exclusive for customers today, July 12.
The pizza giveaway is not available online and customers must phone for delivery or collection.
Takeaway owner Wasim Arshad told Lanarkshire Live: "Let’s celebrate the Italian achievement with half price pizzas and for those Scots who support anyone but England.
"It's only available today. Enjoy your pizza!“
The eatery posted earlier today: "To congratulate the Italians and to celebrate a wonderful footballing tournament, we are giving one of Italy's national dishes for half price tonight only.
"You must call the shop to place the order for delivery or come down to the shop to place your order and collect the pizza".
