Takeaway driver reported for 'not having correct insurance'

A takeaway driver was pulled over by police last night for driving illegally.

The driver was noticed by police after they were delivering food without the correct insurance.

Due to the car not having the correct insurance for food delivery, the driver was reported as having no insurance according to Merseyside Police.

Merseyside Police took to Twitter to share the news they had taken the driver off the road.

They tweeted: "This food delivery driver didn’t have the correct insurance on his policy to enable him to use the vehicle for business and as such was reported for using the vehicle without insurance."

The tweet received a mix of replies, with one person praising the job the traffic unit had done.

One man replied: "Well done. Too many of these fast food delivery drivers without the correct insurance. Same goes for parcel deliveries too. SDP insurance will not cover them!"

Another person was critical of the work the officers had done, feeling as though it was needless.

The man tweeted: "Unbelievable. Someone trying to earn some honest cash. Zero respect as usual for the police. And to go gloating about it on twitter. The amount of crime in this city, you should be ashamed."
