A takeaway delivery driver endured a '"frightening experience" after a thug threatened him at knifepoint.
Police have launched an investigation after the shock incident on Paisley's Magdalen Way on Thursday evening.
The driver was parked in a black Ford Focus when a man leant in the window, threatened him with a knife and demanded money.
No money was taken before the suspect fled the scene. Thankfully no-one was injured.
Officers are now urging anyone with information to come forward and have issued a description of the the man, who they describe as white with a local accent, slim build and sunken around the eyes.
A Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Division statement advises: "We're appealing for witnesses after a delivery driver was threatened in Paisley.
"The incident happened on Magdalen Way around 6.30pm on Thursday, 14 October. The takeaway delivery driver was within a parked black Ford Focus when the suspect leant in the window and allegedly threatened the victim with a knife and demanded money from him. No money was taken and the suspect ran off.
"The suspect is described as a white man with a local accent, slim build and sunken around the eyes. He was wearing a navy blue jacket with the hood up and dark coloured trousers. He may have some facial hair."
Detective Constable James Campbell, of Paisley CID, said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this but it was a frightening experience for a man who was simply doing his job.
“I'm appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any relevant information to contact us.”
