Take That tribute night could be magic for Clyde Valley High pupils' education

Clyde Valley High’s parent group showed how deep their love is for their children’s school by organising a fundraising concert.

They sold 450 tickets for a Take That night at Motherwell Concert Hall raising over £5,700 for the Overtown school.

On the night Take That tribute Rule the World treated the crowd to a selection of the band’s hits from over the years.

Organiser Michelle Williams, who is part of the parent group, said: “I thought it would be good to have a Take That tribute night.

“I love them but unfortunately Robbie wasn’t there, he’s my favourite.

“It was a successful night, and everybody really enjoyed themselves.”

And “could it be magic” for pupils at Clyde Valley High because of the extra funding?

Michelle believes it will definitely improve their education experience.

“We handed over a cheque for £5,400 but have raised a bit more than that.

“The school will be using the money for a new literacy and resource room and they’re going to buy iPads and digital cameras”, she revealed.

The Wishaw Press understands that one or two of the Take That tribute revellers could well have stayed “up all night” following the concert.
