'Take that' - Henri Lansbury sends Nottingham Forest fans message ahead of City Ground return

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has admitted he would "take" being booed by the City Ground crowd tonight as long a Luton Town take all three points back to Bedfordshire.

Lansbury is set to face Forest for the first time at the City Ground since his first season after leaving for Aston Villa in 2017.

He swapped east for West Midlands that January and spent four seasons there before joining Bristol City at the end of the January transfer window earlier this year on a short-term deal after mutually terminating his Villa contract.

The 31-year-old then moved closer to his hometown of London at the end of his contract with the Robins to join Nathan Jones' side in at the end of last season.

“I’m looking forward to going back there, he told Luton Today

"I'll probably get booed, but I’d take that if we go and get three points.

“I loved it there, it was a great club.

"I was with Chrissy Cohen, and it was a great club, great fans, great people, all around the city.

"So it’s a nice place to go back to, it holds a nice place in my heart there.”

On his last trip Trentside, the Reds ran out 2-1 winners thanks to a last-minute Ben Brereton winner (before he added the 'Diaz') during Gary Brazil 's caretaker stint ahead of Mark Warburton 's appointment.

He did more recently face Forest for 80 minutes at Ashton Gate in a 0-0 draw at the tail end of last season.

That added to an impressive unbeaten record when facing the Reds from before he joined the club in 2012, winning 2-1 on loan at both Norwich City and West Ham United from Arsenal as well as playing his part in another 0-0 draw during a temporary stint at Watford.
