Take in the view at Kielder

As part of an ongoing art and architecture project, several new viewpoints and shelters have been unveiled this year. One of the most striking is the Kielder Janus chairs, three oversized metallic seats, designed to look like unfolding flower petals. The back of each seat extends up to form a roof, and rotate so that you can either look out over the view, or face inwards to shelter from wind or rain. When all three seats face inwards they overlap to form a partial shelter. The seats are found on the north shore, along the Lakeside Way.
