Take a tour of the plush Pinatar Arena resort that will be Newcastle u23s' home from home next month

Take a look inside the plush Pinatar Arena resort that will be Newcastle United u23s and u18s' home away from home next month.

The state-of-the-art hotel and sporting complex has played host to some of Europe’s top sides in recent years and next month United's youth sides will spend a full week of warm-weather training between July 11 and July 18.

This video takes you inside the resort, which caters for top athletes and tourists and has gym facilities, a pool, a full-size pitch and 3,000-capacity stadium which has played host to international games and friendly matches.

Newcastle United's first team have twice used the facility across the last 18 months.

Rafa Benitez proposed a mid-season break to the resort in February to battle the effects of ring-rust with Newcastle facing a two-week break from football.

United had a two-week break as a result of their exit in the fourth round of the FA Cup and they ended their five-day stay with a 1-1 draw in a friendly against Russian side CSKA Moscow.

Last year Newcastle travelled to the Pinatar Arena in March to take on Royal Antwerp and Benitez handed opportunities to young goalkeeper Nathan Harker and winger Victor Fernandez.
