A building in Galway has been crowned as Ireland's Favourite House - and it is just sensational to look at it.
Field, Stonewall, House was crowned this year’s winner of the public choice category in the Irish Architecture Awards on Friday.
And we can see why when you take a look at the property.
The house had been a finalist on RTE's Home of the Year for 2021, but scooped the top award from the public vote for the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI).
Ciaran O’Connor, RIAI president, said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce that Taylor McCarney Architect’s project Field, Stonewall, House has been chosen as Ireland’s favourite building.

"We have all come to realise the importance of good design in our homes over the last 16 months and this project is a prime example of this.

"People invest significant funds in their homes and this project shows how working with a registered architect can lead to quality outcomes.”
The interior of the house is shown on a regular basis by Noel and Tanya Conroy, who have charted the journey of the house development through their Instagram account @florenceandhenri.

After the win, they said "Couldn’t be happier for @taylormccarneyarchitects and everyone that worked on our home. Thanks to all you guys who took the time to vote for our house, we really do appreciate it.
"The house was in amazing company so we really didn’t think the win would come back west!!! But couldn’t be happier that it did.

"When we set out on designing our home we know we wanted to push boundaries to leave a dent on Irish architecture if we could and @taylormccarneyarchitects got exactly what we wanted!!

"We are fully aware it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it sure is ours, and that’s what matters!!!
