Take a look inside ITV's I'm A Celebrity Jungle Challenge at Salford Quays

ITV's new I'm A Celebrity Jungle Challenge opens next week and we've been inside to take a look around.

Billed as 'the ultimate jungle encounter', the visitor attraction, inspired by the blockbuster show, promises to 'take Campmates into the heart of the jungle to navigate a series of fun-filled physical challenges'.

Ant and Dec, hosts of the TV show, and former campers Andy Whyment, Fatima Whitbread and AJ Pritchard, have already visited the Salford Quays attraction to give it a go, ahead of its grand opening on Friday, July 30.

Dec said: "Every year during I'm A Celebrity, we get tons of messages from viewers saying they'd love to be able to have a go at the trials - and now they can! We had such a blast trying them all out and some are tougher than you think!"

Based at Quayside, MediaCityUK - formerly known as The Lowry Shopping Centre - the attraction features Main Camp, the Throne and Winner's Bridge, and promises to 'put campmates' nerve and agility to the test as they race against the clock in a bid to collect stars and be crowned King or Queen of the jungle'.

Visitors will be able to scale The Ascent - an 8.1m vertical rock climb, reach dizzy heights racing across the suspended Treetop Trail, scramble nets, balance on beams and swing round the Jungle Run, take a leap of faith on Get a Grip and glide through the trees on a Zipline, all as part of timed trials.

With a ticket upgrade - subject to availability - they'll also be able to enjoy Europe’s first ever ceiling-mounted Spyrider; a high-speed track which will whizz above the jungle canopy in just 18 seconds.

Whilst there’s no critters to be seen, Campmates could find themselves taking on Kiosk Kev and a multiple-choice Dingo Dollar Challenge, if the iconic telephone boxes start to ring out.

Tickets for the attraction - £27.50 for children and £30 for adults - can be booked online at www.imacelebrityjunglechallenge.co.uk.

Visitors must be at least eight years of age and a minimum of 135cm and 30kg (4st 7lb) to take part.

There will be plenty of photo opportunities throughout and, included in every admission ticket, guests are given up to five digital images to take home.
