Tahith Chong issues update on his Manchester United future amid transfer speculation

Tahith Chong insists he is still fully focused on playing for Manchester United as speculation continues to mount over his long-term future at the club.

Dutch winger Chong is out of contract at the end of the season and recent reports have linked him with a possible move to Juventus if his deal was to expire.

The 19-year-old has been a regular member of first-team squads since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over at United, but Chong has only made four senior appearances since the start of the season.

According to Chong a new contract has been offered by United but he insists that a decision on his future at the club will come 'naturally' later in the season.

“It's early right now," Chong told FOX Sports.

"I'm still a player of Manchester United and the season is in full swing. My focus is on that. The contract will come naturally. I am now focusing on this season.

“Yes, they offered it (a new deal), but at the moment the season is also in full swing."

The Dutch younger has been touted for a possible loan move from the club in the January transfer wiindow, and when asked about such a possibility he admitted that he hasn't ruled it out.

Chong added: “I keep all options open. But it is important to keep my focus on the season. I will see where it goes.”
