Tahith Chong agent provides transfer update on Manchester United winger

Tahith Chong's agent has said the player has no intention of leaving Manchester United this summer amid interest from clubs in the Netherlands.

Dutch outlet Voetbal International say Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven have both enquired about taking the 19-year-old winger on loan in recent weeks.

However, it is Chong's desire to remain at Old Trafford as he believes he is capable of breaking into the United team.

"Tahith does not want to be loaned, but [he wants] to fight for his chance at Manchester United," Chong's agent Erkan Alkan said.

"Top clubs from the Bundesliga and La Liga also have him in sight. He has done a strong preparation [for the season], in which he has proven to be one of the better attackers of United."

Chong impressed during pre-season but he was not included in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad for United's Premier League opener against Chelsea or Monday night's game against Wolves.

United played a behind-closed-doors friendly against Sheffield United on Tuesday but Chong is not believed to have started in the 3-1 victory.

Speaking after United concluded their pre-season tour of Australia and Southeast Asia with a 2-1 victory over Spurs, a fixture Chong missed, Solskjaer said the teenager had performed 'really well' in the three appearances he made.
