Triple Olympian Carmen Marton has lost her appeal for inclusion on Australia's taekwondo team for the Tokyo Games.
Marton was overlooked with Australian Taekwondo selectors picking Stacey Hymer for the 57kg class at the looming Olympics.
Marton's initial appeal against her non-selection to taekwondo selectors was rejected, with the 34-year-old then taking her case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
CAS upheld her appeal but in its ruling declined to award her a position on the Tokyo team, instead referring the matter back to Australian Taekwondo selectors.
Selectors have now again dismissed the appeal of Marton, who in 2013 became Australia's first taekwondo world champion when winning the lightweight gold at the world titles.
Australia's four-strong taekwondo team to contest the Tokyo Games is locked in, with Marton's partner Safwan Khalil to compete at his third Olympics in the men's 58kg category.
The 21-year-old Hymer will make her Olympic debut, as will Reba Stewart (women's +67kg) and Jack Marton (men's -80kg).
