
Two men and a woman were arrested at a Mayfield hotel Thursday as part of an ongoing Sydney-based investigation, NSW Police have said.
Witnesses have described a dramatic scene involving tactical police officers taking the trio into custody just before 1pm.
Officers attached to the State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad attended a hotel where they arrested the two men, aged 23 and 34, and a woman aged 27 with the assistance of the Tactical Operations Unit.
Police said the arrests were made as part of an ongoing investigation.
All three were taken to Waratah Police Station and are assisting police with their inquiries, a NSW Police statement said.
