Taco Bell confirm opening dates for first London restaurants since 1986

Fast food lovers rejoice Taco Bell is rejoining London’s dining scene.

The world’s largest Mexican-inspired restaurant chain has announced their first openings in the capital since 1986, when they launched one site between Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus, and another in Earl's Court. Both closed in the mid 1990s.

Now a new Taco Bell will open its doors in Hammersmith on Friday November 23, followed by three further sites: one in Holborn on November 30, another in Fulham on December 7 and a final outpost for Croydon on December 21 but these dates may be subject to change.

Some of the chain's most popular dishes will be available, including the Crunchwrap Supreme – a tortilla stuffed with either beef, chicken or refried beans, served in a tostada shell – as well as the self explanatory Crunchy Taco, the typically American-sized Grilled Stuft Burrito and the Big Bell Box combo, which puts a burrito, taco, nachos, churros and a soft drink all in one box. On Tuesdays, a taco and a Sol beer will be on offer at all four restaurants for £2.

The American chain, which was founded in 1962 in California and is named for founder Glen Bell, presently has 7,000 sites around the globe, including 27 across the UK outside of London.
