Tacko Fall double-doubles with Red Claws in rare loss to Bluecoats

Boston Celtics two way center Tacko Fall logged his 18th double-double of the season with the Maine Red Claws in a rare loss to the Delaware Bluecoats on Wednesday.

Boston’s G League team dropped the contest to the Philadelphia 76ers’ developmental franchise in a blowout 113-92 loss, but the Senegalese big man still managed to put up 12 points on 6-of-13 shooting and 14 rebounds.

Two way teammate Tremont Waters had an off game — perhaps due to an elbow injury sustained early in the contest the Connecticut native was able to return from — scoring just 5 points on 2-of-10 shooting with 5 assists.

The loss dropped the 28-14 Red Claws from owning the second-best record in the G League behind the Wisconsin Herd (the G League team of the Milwaukee Bucks) to trail the Canton Charge — the Cleveland Cavaliers development team — by a half-game.

The Red Claws will next play the league-leading Herd on Friday, March 13th — assuming the G League does not follow suit and suspend games due to the coronavirus pandemic as the NBA has.
