Tabreed to set up cold storages in Andhra Pradesh

AMARAVATI: The state government has signed an MoU with cooling solutions firm, Tabreed Asia, to provide energy-efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendlier cooling solutions.

The government invited Tabreed, a subsidiary of Tabreed UAE, to build cold storages and provide technology support to export units in the state. The MoU was signed in the presence of industries minister Mekapati Gautham Reddy on Wednesday.

Mekapati said that APEDB and the Tabreed Asia agreed on the importance of infrastructure and industrial development in the state and welcomed mutual cooperation for facilitating above projects. He said Tabreed Asia had expressed willingness to invest and support the state government in developing sustainable and cost-effective cooling infrastructure through long term design, finance, build, own and operate cooling concessions across upcoming industrial parks, SEZs.

He said it would also focus on the development of Smart City projects and Integrated Data Centre Parks as well as partner with local companies in the state for sourcing of supplies for their district cooling solution requirements.
