Fears of a larger Taal volcano eruption continue to mount as thousands of people in the danger zone flee their homes in the Philippines.
Plumes of smoke and lava gushed into the air as shudders opened cracks in roads as police blockaded at-risk towns due to concerns of a fresh overflow.
Houses and farms have been damaged by volcanic ash since the eruption started on Sunday, though no deaths or major injuries have been reported after tens of thousands of people were evacuated.
The volcano in Batangas province lies more than 40 miles south of the capital, Manila.
