T.J. Lang, Lions ‘ended that relationship on really, really good terms’

T.J. Lang’s tenure with the Detroit Lions has come to an end earlier than either side wanted, but the veteran guard doesn’t have any hard feelings about his recent release after two injury-plagued seasons.

Lang revealed in an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio that he and his hometown franchise ended on a positive note with no animosity or bitterness.

“I think we ended that relationship on really, really good terms,” Lang told Bruce Murray and Brady Quinn in a long, easy-going interview.

“I had a good, open line of communication with the Lions,” he continued. “We were very interactive with each other about where we were heading. I think we ended that relationship on really, really good terms. And right now I’m kind of at the point where it’s a little bit tough because I’m sitting here thinking in my head, ‘I think I can still play at a high level.’”

He waffled a little on whether he wanted to continue playing or retire, noting “I’ve had a good run” in his 10 years in the NFL.
