A young Syrian girl broke down in tears on the Arabic version of The Voice while performing a song she dedicated to peace in her homeland.
Ghina Bou Hemdan, aged nine, was singing “Give us Childhood, Give us Peace” when she started crying on MBC's TheVoice Kids.
She had told the judges she wanted to perform the song for children's rights in Syria, reports MailOnlnie.
After a few seconds Ghina convinced judge, singer Nancy Ajram, to turn her chair around before the little girl burst into tears.
Ms Ajram, 32, quickly joined Ghina on stage and encouraged her to finish the song.
The remaining two judges turned their chairs around before the song finsihed with the audience loudly applauding the nine-year-old.
This song was first sung by singer Remi Bandali and describes the misery of children during the Lebanese civil war which took place between 1975 and 1990.
As of October 2015, over 250,000 people have been killed in the Syrian War including 12,517 children.
