Syria Reports 11 New Coronavirus Cases

The Syrian Ministry of Health revealed on Saturday that it had registered 11 new coronavirus cases, in addition to five recoveries.

The ministry said in a press release that 10 of the new cases were for individuals who were in the town of Jdaidet al-Fadl, while one case came from Lebanon.

The total of COVID-19 virus infections reached 198 in Syria, including 83 recoveries.

Meanwhile, death toll stood at seven, the German News Agency reported.

The first coronavirus infection in Syria was recorded in March for a person who came from abroad. Up to 29 deaths were registered in the same month.
