Twitter user are reacting to Parliament’s decision to approve air strikes against Isis targets by sharing the hashtag #PrayforSyria.
MPs voted to approve air strikes against the terror group in Syria by 397 votes to 223 on Wednesday evening.
But the action has divided the country with thousands of protesters demonstrating outside Parliament on the eve of the vote.
Using the hashtag, people expressed their “disgust” with the Government for allowing the killing of innocent Syrians to go ahead.
But some users criticised the outrage:
An online poll conducted by The Independent on Wednesday revealed that 79 per cent of our readers did not support the air strikes.
Across the country, polls show the country is heavily divided on the issue with 54 per cent of English voters supporting the move but 72 per cent of Scots remain against it.
