Syria air strikes: Footage shows terrifying aftermath of attack on Aleppo children's hospital

Video has emerged showing the aftermath of an attack on a paediatric hospital in Aleppo.

The footage shows the impact of an airstrike and its close proximity to the Children’s Hospital, run by the Independent Doctors Association (IDA).

IDA announced in a statement that a two-day-old baby was killed after “his oxygen supply was cut.”

The Head Nurse commented: “The situation is so bad. The hospital is greatly damaged and this is not the first time. We are really tired”.

The attack took place on 23 July which also saw three other hospitals and the central blood bank targeted, “reaching a new level of attacks on health facilities in Syria.”

IDA calls upon the international community to uphold UN Resolution 2286 which “strongly condemns attacks and threats against the wounded and sick, medical personnel and humanitarian personnel exclusively engaged in medical duties, their means of transport and equipment, as well as hospitals and other medical facilities.”
