The Heavy Metal brings some big guns to Destiny 2, not only in the form of a Tanks vs Brigs game mode but also in terms of loot you can earn by playing it. One of the new weapons added to the game with the event is the Synanceia sword.
Synanceia is the first Solar Wave Sword, joining the likes of Abyssal Edge from Heresy and Summum Bonum from Salvation’s Edge. This sword has its own niche as a utility weapon with some new perks, like Sharp Harvest.
Here are our Synanceia god rolls for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2.
What is the Synanceia god roll in Destiny 2?

Synanceia PvE god roll
- Blade: Hungry Edge
- Guard: Balanced Guard
- Perk one: Sharp Harvest
- Perk two: Eager Edge
- Masterwork: Impact
Synanceia PvP god roll
- Blade: Honed Edge
- Guard: Heavy Guard
- Perk one: Assassin’s Blade
- Perk two: Eager Edge
- Masterwork: Impact
Synanceia is more of a utility sword in PvE rather than a DPS option. Sharp Harvest in the third column generates five percent of your special ammo reserves when landing three light attacks in quick succession. In the fourth column, there’s Eager Edge for increased lunge distance. You may not be able to Wellskate properly due to the sword’s frame, but it’s good for general mobility.
Because this sword is all about utility, you also want to get Hungry Edge as the blade to increase ammo capacity. More ammo means more Eager Edge swings and more special ammo generated through Sharp Harvest.
There are a couple of damage and add-clear perks, like Burning Ambition, Chain Reaction, and Surrounded. You can use those with something like Relentless Strikes or even Attrition Orbs, but that mainly depends on the playstyle and what you’re looking for in a sword.
Swords in PvP have always been more of a fun option rather than competitive. For general use in the Crucible, you can go for Assassin’s Blade to maximize movement speed after getting a kill, and also Eager Edge to quickly reach your opponents.
How to get Synanceia in Destiny 2

Synanceia is only available during the Heavy Metal event that lasts one week. It features a Brigs vs Tanks game mode, and after playing a match, there’s a chance for you to get the sword, the Stasis shotgun, and weapons from the Crucible Ops loot pool.
As always, loot Tiers depend on your Power level, and there’s also a Holofoil version of the weapon that can drop with a rare chance. If you want to get more copies of the weapon, you can spend Event Tokens in the event reward shop.
