Sylvester Stallone watches Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz with boxing and Hollywood legends

Sylvester Stallone was joined by a stellar cast to watch Anthony Joshua's redemption against Andy Ruiz Jr.

Joshua became a two-time world heavyweight champion with an accomplished display in his rematch with Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia.

The Brit was under serious pressure with the eyes of the boxing world on Riyadh but came away with a points success.

Rocky star Stallone was one of a number of boxing fans watching the action from home and he was joined by legends of the sport and some Hollywood stars.

He posted a picture alongside Sugar Ray Leonard as he watched the action, with acting greats Al Pacino and Arnold Schwarzenegger also in attendance.

They were joined by fellow actor Frank Grillo and Chris D'Elia, film director Joe Carnahan and NFL figures Jay Glazer and Brian Callahan

"Just having a great time at home watching fights with a great bunch of guys," Stallone wrote on social media.

The first fight between Joshua and Ruiz, which the Mexican won, was labelled by Stallone as a 'true Rocky story'.

He said: "My Hollywood script came to life that historic June night when unknown boxer Andy Ruiz achieved a victory that shocked the world. It was the real-life Rocky

"This sport reveals the souls of these courageous warriors like no other sport can."

Ruiz also posed with a 'Win Rocky Win' shirt ahead of the fight with Stallone wishing him luck.

But there was to be no repeat for the Mexican as he failed to get to grips with Joshua, who came away from Saudi Arabia with the victory.
