Sylvester Stallone reunites with Rocky IV co-star Dolph Lundgren as Arnie skips event

Sylvester Stallone left fans giddy with excitement as he reunited with his Rocky IV co-star Dolph Lundgren.

Dolph played Sly's arch nemesis Ivan Drago in the boxing film - but it was a happy atmosphere on Sunday night as Sylvester, 75, and Dolph, 63, posed arm-in-arm and adopted boxing poses.

The pair couldn't stop smiling as they took questions from host Jenni Falconer at a special event at Birmingham NEC.

Sylvester looked dapper in a black knitted sweater, which he matched with a pair of dark trousers.

Dolph was also looking great in a stone bomber jacket and jeans.

Things were not so civil between the pair in the 1985 Rocky movie, with them pitted against each other in the ring.

Fellow hardman Arnold Schwarzenegger, 74, also appeared at the the sold out event via video call - leaving fans upset after being unable to attend in person due to a leg and foot injury.

The day before the event, the actor tweeted to say his doctor had advised him not to attend.

He wrote: "I am very upset I cannot make it because of my leg condition.

"I injured my leg, my foot, my calf. The doctor told me not to travel. So I'm sorry about that. I'm going to beam in every so often during the weekend.

"You're going to see me on screen. So I'm looking forward to coming next year in 2022. I will be there," he concluded.

He also shared a video of his pet donkey eating from his luxury kitchen worktop - as you do.

However after paying £84 a ticket, some fans weren't happy with the star's apology.

One fumed: "'You deliberately waited till the last minute to announce this, SHAME ON YOU!!!! will be getting a full refund."

Another posted: "What! Paid £84 to see you on a screen !?"

However a third was more understanding, telling the star: "Such a shame, was looking forward to seeing you. Speedy recovery with the leg, see you in 2022," along with a biceps emoji.
