A customer has been left confused while searching for a Nottinghamshire break on a popular booking website.
One man was left baffled when there was no option to book a break in the county on the Sykes Holiday Cottages website.
He told Nottinghamshire Live that he was searching for a Nottinghamshire cottage but could not find it under the 'county' category.
Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland are on the list, but there is no choice for Nottinghamshire.
The puzzled customer said: "It transpires that all properties within Nottinghamshire are listed as 'Lincolnshire'.
"My issue is that Nottinghamshire is a great county, with a combination of a vibrant City and many attractive villages. Of course, it has its issues but so do all the other counties so why is it not included as a county within the search criteria.
"Having wasted a fair amount of time trying to track down “ Nottinghamshire” properties I emailed the Sykes customer service team and received a non-specific, non-related email. Since then, I have tried emailing various people within the organisation but have received no response."
A Sykes Holiday Cottages spokesperson said: “The location categories on our website are constantly changing, based on the number of properties available and interest in certain areas, so this isn’t an exhaustive list.
"We are, however, currently in the process of adding Nottinghamshire as a search option. Anyone looking for suggestions for places to stay throughout the county is welcome to contact our customer service team or use the Live Chat function."
