Sydney woman charged with murder after allegedly hitting man with car

Police attend the scene at Wentworth Point on Saturday night.

A woman has been charged with murder after a man was allegedly deliberately hit by a car and pinned against a wall in Sydney's Wentworth Point last night.

Emergency services were called to a carpark at a unit complex on Hill Road in the inner-west suburb at about 8:30pm, after reports a man had been struck by a Toyota Kluger and pinned against a wall.

The 31-year-old man, Payman 'Paul' Thagipur, who lived in the unit block, was treated by police and paramedics but died at the scene.

The alleged driver, a 44-year-old woman named as Jackline Musa, was arrested and taken to Concord Hospital to be treated for a broken wrist.

Police allege the pair, who had previously been in a relationship, were arguing before Ms Musa got in the car and deliberately struck Mr Thagipur.

Ms Musa was later taken to Auburn Police Station and charged with domestic violence-related murder.

The scene has been examined by forensic police and an investigation is continuing.

Acting Superintendent Peter Glynn from Auburn Police Area Command said witnesses and emergency services personnel attended a "very chaotic and traumatic" scene.

"The incident was captured on CCTV and that's being reviewed by our detectives."

Ms Musa, from Quakers Hill, was denied bail at Parramatta Court on Sunday morning.

She is expected to reappear before Central Local Court on Thursday.

"The NSW Police force takes very seriously all reports of domestic violence, and domestic violence perpetrators will be dealt with accordingly," Acting Superintendent Glynn said.
