It’s a busy day for the DMs of Sydney Sweeney, who has apparently been fielding inbox messages from scores of Premier League footballers following her split from Jonathan Davino.
ICYMI, the Euphoria star called off her three-year engagement to the movie producer back in March, and now that she’s freshly single, an array of soccer players have reportedly tried their best to be her new knight in shining armour.
That’s according to The Sun, which published a source’s claims that Sweeney has been asked out on dates by footballers from clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool.

“Her Instagram DMs are packed with messages from famous men trying to get in contact with her,” the insider claimed.
While many of these suitors have reportedly “offer[ed] her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date”, Sweeney apparently isn’t into that sort of thing.
You know, because free trips to Europe are just too much of a burden!
“She’s not the kind of person who does that,” the source said, adding that Sweeney “always refuses”, even when the admirers are “very insistent and have even tried to find her address to send her flowers”.
Flowers and European dates are OUT!

While the source stopped short of naming names (criminal!), they did say athletes are just one of the cohorts courting the actress, also mentioning “more than 100 people, from celebs to millionaires or very rich people from the Middle East and Asia”.
Apparently, one such DM-er was an “an American actor who had recently divorced” and who “approached her to take her on a date”.
Is it David Harbour? Orlando Bloom? I need answers!
It comes months after Sweeney confirmed she had called off her wedding to Davino, with reports suggesting her busy filming schedule — and shall we say, flirtatious, press tours — were behind the split.
Whatever the case, Sweeney is likely more occupied with another fiasco that’s made headlines of late, courtesy of her controversial ad for American Eagle last week.

Allegations of eugenist messaging aside, a less intense offence of the ad is Sweeney’s vocal fry and line delivery, which are somehow (almost) as enraging as all the broader backlash.
I guess these supposed DM messengers aren’t chronically online enough to be swayed from hitting her with a dreaded, ‘u up?’.
