Sydney news: Merna Kasha, 19, has been missing for a month as police appeal for information

Missing teenager last seen at Fairfield Heights

Merna Kasha was last seen when a family member dropped her off on Kihilla Street, Fairfield Heights, about 8pm on Thursday, April 28. 

It is believed she was in contact with family a few days later but has not been seen since.

Ms Kasha is described as being of Middle Eastern-Mediterranean appearance, about 160 centimetres tall, slim build, with dark brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

She has a tattoo along the middle of her back, and piercings in her lip, nose and cheek.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Three charged over Newcastle sexual assault

Three men who allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman at a Newcastle unit have been charged.

Police will allege in court the men carried out the offence about 11pm on Saturday, February 26, at a Parry St home. 

A 28-year-old man has been charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company with other persons and one count of sexually touch another person without consent.

He has been granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on July 4.  

Following further investigations, detectives arrested and charged two men yesterday, aged 20 and 28.

The older man was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company with other persons, while the younger man was charged with one count of aggravated sexual assault in company with other persons, being that of principal in the second degree.

They were each granted bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on July 4. 

Police release 'peep and pry' image

Police have released images of a man who may be able to with with investigations into a "peep and pry" incident in Randwick earlier this month.

About 10pm on May 7, police responded to reports a man had been seen looking into a home on Arthur Street, Randwick.

Police conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area; however, nobody was found.

The man is depicted in the images as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm to 185cm tall, of slim build, with brown hair. He may also have a British accent.

Anyone with information or who may have dash cam footage of the area at the time of the incident is urged to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Chris Dawson murder trial continues

The murder trial of former Sydney teacher Chris Dawson will continue in the NSW Supreme Court today.

Mr Dawson is accused of murdering his wife, Lynette, on or about January 8, 1982, in order to have an "unfettered relationship" with a student at the school where he worked.

Yesterday, the court was told Mr Dawson was "very flirtatious" and "very vain" while interacting with a schoolgirl he would later marry.

Mr Dawson denies murdering his first wife.
