A Sydney man has been arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun when asked to pay for his meal at a restaurant in the city's south.
Police were called to the Brighton-Le-Sands restaurant about 6:30pm on Monday, after the man reportedly placed the gun on the counter when asked to settle the bill.
The man then allegedly brandished the firearm in front of customers and staff while moving around the restaurant, before officers arrived and arrested him.
The 42-year-old man was found with a replica Colt firearm and magazine, and taken to the local police station where he was charged with a string of offences.
He is accused of robbery while armed with a dangerous weapon, possessing an unregistered firearm-pistol, and two counts of stalking or intimidating intended to create fear of physical harm.
He was also fined for not wearing a face mask.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday.
