Sydney lawyer's office raided by police probing teenager's murder

Police raid the Sydney CBD office of the lawyer this afternoon

Police investigating the murder of Sydney teenager Brayden Dillon this afternoon raided the Sydney CBD offices of a male lawyer.

NSW homicide detectives entered the building near Pitt Street Mall and executed a search warrant about 2:00pm.

Investigators were assisted by a woman, understood to be an employee of the office, as they opened drawers and sifted through piles of paperwork.

No arrests have been made, but the ABC understands police raided the lawyer's house earlier in the day.

A number of criminal lawyers are under investigation for allegedly helping fabricate evidence after the teenager's murder.

The 15-year-old was shot dead while sleeping at his mother's home at Glenfield in Sydney's south-west on Good Friday last year.

Police believe the teenager was killed after his older brother Joshua, 20, allegedly stabbed Adam Abu-Mahmoud, 18, to death during a bloody street fight at Panania in 2016.

Adam Abu-Mahmoud's uncle, Abdul Abu-Mahmoud, is accused of masterminding the revenge attack and was charged with murder this month after arriving home on a flight from the resort island of Phuket.

Last week, Abdul Abu-Mahmoud's brother and Adam Abu-Mahmoud's father, Mohamed Abu-Mahmoud, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder and preventing the course of justice.

Six people have been charged over the murder of Brayden Dillon and police say further arrests are likely as investigations continue.
