A five vehicle crash on the Sydenham By-pass heading towards Bangor is causing delays.
Police received reports of a crash close to the Dee Street turnoff, shortly before 1pm. An Ambulance has been tasked to the scene but no one is believed to be seriously injured.
The road is currently down to one lane and police are facilitating traffic which is slow moving. Delays are to be expected.
Motorists advised to avoid the area and seek alternative main routes for their journey.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "We received reports of an RTC at the Dee Street turnoff, shortly before 1pm.
"An ambulance has been tasked to the scene but there are no reports of anyone being seriously hurt.
"Police are facilitating traffic."
