Sword, 'live' bullet, cash and drugs seized from Wirral home during search

Police seized a sword, live bullet, cash and drugs from a home in Wirral following a search for a suspected stolen van.

Officers were called to the Woodchurch estate on Tuesday, April 27 following reports of a stolen vehicle.

When they found the van a man returned which officers believed had links to the van.

He was arrested and a search of his home took place where police found a large quantity of class A and B drugs, a significant amount of cash, scales, tick-lists and "other items that consisted with drug dealing".

In pictures released by Wirral Police, you can see a large number of mobile phones of various models and makes.

A sword was also recovered and a suspected live bullet.

The man was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of a section 1 firearm ammunition.

Wirral police said: "Last night, officers from Team 2 Wirral Targeted were deployed to reports of a suspected stolen van on Woodchurch Estate. The van was located and a short time later, a male returned which officers believed had links to it.

"The male was arrested and following this, a search of his home address was conducted.

"Officers found a large quantity of class A and B drugs, a significant amount of cash, scales, tick-lists and other items that consisted with drug dealing.

"A sword was also recovered taking a dangerous weapon from the streets and also officers located a suspected live bullet. The male was arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of a section 1 firearm ammunition.
